The Fulfillment House Story
The Fulfillment House is a passion project for local business owners, Steve Thorne and Len Page of Paradigm Direct. Our aim is to help guide family and friends who have children with special needs transitioning into their adult years to sustain a fulfilling lifestyle.
Our Job Coaches work hand in hand with our Production Associates. Based on their abilities, there are a wide range of jobs completed which include moving, packaging, sealing and labeling outgoing packages. Needless to say, they add a special touch to every package with their own personal ‘packaged by’ card included.
We want to offer our services to other companies in order to increase production levels and provide more opportunities for our Associates. At the end of the day, everyone wants to feel valuable and accomplished. Understanding their abilities and contributions is very satisfying.
In addition to fulfilling orders, community activities are integrated, creating a well-rounded work environment. This is accomplished through a variety of activities including lunch outings, karaoke, bowling, yoga and culinary classes. This allows the Associates to be in the community and create relationships with those around them.
Our team is a combination of supportive Job Coaches and dream seeking Associates. At the Fulfillment House we create a fun, educational and enriching environment while we accomplish goals and work hard. We do more than fulfill orders. . . we fulfill dreams.
If you can’t find Lacey working hard here at Fulfillment House, then she’s probably helping out at home where she calls herself ‘Mom’s cleaning elf’. She’s a true Midwesterner who loves riding horses, listening to country music, and taking care of her 2 miniature donkeys, 2 ponies, and Sophie the pug. She’s always down to mellow out by watching her favorite movie, Jungle Book, with a nice helping of goulash.
KT is a powerhouse here at Fulfillment House. She keeps us working as well as updated on her favorite MLB team, the Kansas City Royals. If she wasn’t at work, you could find her doing puzzles or watching her favorite movie Mamma Mia with her dog Carly Sue seated beside her. Katelyn’s contagious happy character always keeps us smiling.
Through her volunteer work at Northland Early Education Center shredding paper, folding laundry, and helping the kitchen deliver food to classrooms, Chasers shows her big heart. She loves her Goldendoodle, Daisy, but as well Chasers loves watching movies, swimming, horseback riding, and listening to any and all music, especially the Kearney High School Marching Band. If you hang around long enough, you might even get to hear her perform one of her favorite songs, Firework, by Katy Perry.
Char is full of love with a sweet smile that will melt your heart. She loves music, which is why her favorite movie is High School Musical, although she doesn’t mind watching her favorite actor, Zac Efron, throughout the movie either. She’s not picky, which is why if you ask her, she’ll tell you her favorite food is ‘everything’. Char works hard here at Fulfillment House, especially at her favorite job, making boxes.
Brent is a lover of all things WWE, especially when it comes to gaming. He’s a man of many talents which is why he has won so many medals at Special Olympics and even sang the Star-Spangled Banner to start off the competition. When it comes to karaoke his favorite song to sing is ‘This is my Town’ by Montgomery Gentry. Brent brings life to the party here at Fulfillment House while he tapes the boxes to be filled with books.
Whether she’s packaging books here at Fulfillment House, riding horses, or jamming out to her favorite singer Kenny Chesney, Blaire stays busy. After graduating from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) THRIVE program she has continued staying involved and even volunteered with local organizations. Her favorite actor is Twilight’s Taylor Lautner, and although she’d love to spend time with him, for now, she loves spending time with her horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and even her gecko.
Often referred to as Sara Bear by her friends and family, Sara has the sweetest personality to match her nickname! She loves going to garage sales, watching movies, and listening to music, especially Fleetwood Mac and ALL country music. When Sara isn’t at work you might find her playing with her dog Lucy or enjoying pizza while watching her favorite actor Robin Williams in one of his many films.
More popularly known as JT, Jack is always ready for an impromptu singing and dancing session. From the Beach Boys, to the Jonas Brothers, Rock n’ Roll, or Country, JT probably knows most of the words. If you’re lucky, he might even make up some new lyrics for you without ever missing a beat in the song. He is a fish and loves all things water whether that’s the pool, lake, or the ocean. His smiling face and happy personality are contagious and help us stay motivated at Fulfillment House.
Ashley is a dog lover. She loves reading books about dogs, helping out at the local vet, and playing with dogs, especially her two chihuahuas Lola and Bella. She’s a girl after our own heart that loves macaroni and cheese as well as visiting Florida and New York City. She’s excited about her new job of making and packaging boxes, but she’s more excited about the paychecks that come with it!
Hayley or ‘Coach’ is quite the leader here at the Fulfillment House. She excels not only in her job by helping us put stickers on boxes, but she also excels in the community as well with her service at the Good Samaritan and Senate Bill 40 Office. And to top it off, Hayley has a twin! She loves shopping as well as watching baseball and her dogs and goats at home.
How can I help?
Our ultimate goal is to employ as many people as possible. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations for funds to continue this powerful impact within our community. Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of your donations will add new jobs and opportunities for our associates!
