It’s been a very productive and enjoyable fall for our associates and staff at Fulfillment House. We filled 9,333 orders during the month of October.
Our associates worked hard for our many different customers during the month. They did a fantastic job learning to pack and ship new books and other items. We also fulfilled orders for author Charles Payne’s quarterly town hall promotion for his books, “Unstoppable Prosperity” and “Unbreakable Investor.” Everyone handled the influx of orders and busy days with a great work ethic and attitude.
With our in-house printing, we have also been working on several new creative products. Each associate now has a custom name badge to wear at work that features their photo and stamps they earn for learning to complete new job tasks. In addition, they each have a new personalized trading card to give out to friends and family that includes their photo and bio. They have also been designing greeting cards on iPads at work. These are printed on cardstock, with their artwork featured on the front and a brief bio on the back. They have created cards for various occasions and are now being sold at Fulfillment House.
We enjoyed several events together outside of work during October, too. On October 6, we held our “Pouring Dreams” fundraiser at Walnut Creek Winery in Holt. A number of generous individuals and businesses donated items for our silent auction, we held a 50/50 raffle, and the winery donated a portion of food and drink sales from the afternoon to our organization. Several of our associates, their families, and friends attended the event, enjoying the opportunity to mingle while raising money for Fulfillment House.
On October 18, many of our associates and staff attended a Kearney football game. Our Kearney Bulldogs were undefeated this season, and everyone had fun cheering them to victory together!
Finally, Trunk or Treat was held in downtown Kearney on October 25. We decorated the outside of our building, and then many of our associates dressed in costume to hand out candy to local children. The weather was perfect, and it was a great night for everyone who participated in the fun tradition.
We have a lot more planned and are looking forward to another fun holiday season at Fulfillment House!
