April was an incredibly busy month at Fulfillment House. We shipped 14,048 orders! Over 5,000 orders were shipped in two days during author Charles Payne’s April town hall special promoting his books. Thanks to our associates’ hard work pre-packing inventory, we could quickly and efficiently get all those orders shipped out. We even had time to celebrate with an ice cream sundae party at the end of the workday!
April was also a month of exciting changes. On April 1, Kurt Hamilton assumed the role of Executive Director of Fulfillment House.
“The Fulfillment House Board of Directors is excited to have Kurt become our Executive Director.” Board President Karen Lovecamp said, “We look forward to his leadership at the Fulfillment House as we pursue its mission of providing meaningful and enriching employment opportunities for adults with special needs, inspiring confidence and greater independence in the Fulfillment House associates by providing high-quality fulfillment services to its clients.”
Kurt hit the ground running and is working on many projects, including streamlining our inventory management system, diversifying our revenue stream by building our client base and growing the Print-for-Pay service.

“The more efficient we become, the more clients we can serve, and the more associates we can employ. It’s all connected. Everything we do to get better and grow helps us provide meaningful jobs for our people and exceptional service to customers and keeps our roots growing deeper into the local community,” Hamilton explains.
